Mini Medieval Transylvania Tour, its fortifications and castles

transilvania medievale, le sue fortificazioni e castelli

The tour takes you in the main cities of Transylvania through the most popular castles: Peles Castle in Sinaia and Bran with the castle of Dracula. The journey presents landscapes of the green valleys and mountains that you will constantly see during this beautiful holiday in Transylvania. Great importance is also represented by a visit of the city of Brasov (the ancient city of the Krown – Kronstadt Saxon) , which shows to the visitors the architectural and cultural wealth inherited from the period of Hungarian rule and by Saxon peoples. Of great interest are visits to the fortified churches, present in several villages as that of the Saxons lost village Viscrì, the fortified church from Biertan and others that you will encounter along the way. Not by chance UNESCO has classified the fortified churches of Transylvania as a world heritage site, making them the subject of an increasing attention from the part of tourists coming from all over the world. The other two cities we will visit on this tour are Sighisoara and Sibiu. Sighisoara possesses one of the best preserved old towns in Europe (also UNESCO heritage) and is known as the birthplace of Vlad (Dracula) and Sibiu is the most historically important cities of Transylvania as having been elected European cultural capital in 2007. Nothing will be missed in this tour: landscapes, castles, palaces, medieval settings, the character Dracula, good traditional cuisine and the discovery of a new route.
